About me
Hi! I am a 4th-year Ph.D. student in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Rice University, advised by Prof. Guha Balakrishnan. I am part of the Rice Visual Intelligence Group, and the Digital Health Institute, and I work closely with Prof. Ashok Veeraraghavan on the Walk-through Rendering from Images of Varying Altitude (WRIVA) project sponsored by the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity.
My research interests encompass computer vision, deep learning, and their downstream applications. My primarily focus lies on 3D scene understanding, including generative video editing/inpainting, large-scale 3D reconstruction, and human social behavior analysis in city environments.
Before joining Rice, I completed my B.S and M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Ewha Womans [sic] University. My master’s thesis concerned quality-adaptive compression artifact removal by exploiting domain adaptation, under the supervision of Prof. Jewon Kang. Outside of research and academia, I enjoy camping, hiking, and bouldering.
